the summer, beginning of May to end of August, RAM SILWAL
ADVENTURES run kayakcourses in Scandinavia. We have courses,
and trips, for all level paddlers, from the beginner to
the advanced white water kayaker who want to develop his
or her skills. Join us for your adventure in the white

Try
White water kayaking, Mörrumsån Sweden, 1-2
days
Level: Beginner
Mörrumsån in Blekinge is actually the best
white water you can find between mid-Sweden and the south
of Germany. Mörrumsån, located only 2 hours
from Malmö and 2,5 hours from Copenhagen has smaller
rapids, perfect for the beginner or the experienced paddler
who want to develop skills. We do our short courses here.
Challenge the nature forces and learn the basic techniques
to master white water! During a days course you learn
some of the theory of white water paddling, basic paddling
technique, how to get in and out of the kayak, ferry glide,
to get in and out of eddies, basic saftey and rescue techniques
and how to read the water and communicate on the river.
The one who wants to can also try the famous eskimo roll.

White
Water kayak course, Dalarna Sweden, 3 days
Level: Beginner
A long weekend in Dalarna, Sweden for beginners in white
water kayak. We go through the basics of white water kayaking
and basic saftey- and rescue tecniques. We practise paddlingtecnique,
ferryglide, and getting in and out of eddies. We paddle
some white water and develope our skills in the rapids.
Day two we paddle a 12 km long section Class II - III
white water. It is a very good section for first timers
or for the once who has not paddled for a while and need
to warm up. There is also possibilities to learn and practise
the eskimo roll. On day three we spend most of our time
in a Fänforsen. The Fänforsen is one of the
biggest rapids in Dalälven. We continue to develop
our paddlingskills, our water reading skills and practise
communication and rescue technique. We head home in the
afternoon.

water kayak course, Trysil or Sjoa Norway, 3 days
Level: Beginner
We paddle for 3 days around Trysil or Sjoa in Norway.
We go through the basics of white water kayaking and basic
saftey- and rescue tecniques. We practise paddlingtecnique,
ferryglide, and getting in and out of eddies. We do some
riverrunning and develope our skills in the rapids. There
is also possibilities to learn and practise the eskimo
roll. We continue to develop our paddlingskills, our water
reading skills and practise communication and rescue technique.
On day three we head home in the afternoon.

Level: Advanced
This is an adventure for the one who has paddled white
water kayak before and has a decent roll and who wants
to develope his or her paddling skills a lot in a short
amount of time! The course focus on that you with professional
help will become a more confident paddler and be able
to have a lot of fun in more challenging waters. We develope
more advanced paddling tecniques, saftey and rescue tecniques.
We work on our water reading skills and practise communication.
We paddle the best white water river in Northern Europe,
Sjoa in Norway.

Arrangements
and what is included
Courses in Scandinavia are held between beginning of May
- end of August. Corses are doen in Swedish and English.
White water kayaking courses are doen for groups of max.
6 people. Participants need to be 16 years of age.
Ram Silwal works as instructor and guide on the trips.
The guide will provide rescue equipment and First Aid.
Further arrangements are done togehter with the participants
- together we arranage transport for the people comming
from the same direction. You pay the cost of transport
(for instans shared petrolcost), food, camping- and river
gear yourself. We camp on the riverbank. Bring camping
gear, food and rivergear and a change of warm cloths for
the evening. If you do not have a kayak or other rivergear
you can rent from us. All kayaking and activities are
done at own risk.
